The Role of the Client Success Coordinator

Job Overview: 

Runners’ Edge Alaska is the leading sports physical therapy clinic in Alaska and we are seeking a Client Success Coordinator to join our team! As a Client Success Coordinator, you will be responsible for ensuring that our clients have the best experience possible with their physical therapy journey. The ideal candidate is friendly, welcoming, and a natural problem-solver and multi-tasker. In addition, they should be interested in maintaining a healthy and active lifestyle and have a knack for connecting with the community. This position is a mix of customer service, sales, and marketing.  The chosen candidate will work closely with and assist our Operations Manager. The Client Success Coordinator is a pivotal member of our team that helps active people stay fit, healthy, and mobile while avoiding medications, injections, and surgery.  


  • Greet and welcome clients and serve as a point of contact, ensuring that all inquiries and requests are handled promptly and professionally (Scheduling appointments, collecting payments, coordinating with their PT, taking insurance info, etc.)  

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with our clients, understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions to meet their goals. 

  • Collaborate with the team on onboarding new clients, ensuring a smooth transition from an inquiry to an evaluation/appointment.

  • Proactively monitor client accounts to identify potential issues, and work with the Operations Manager to resolve them in a timely manner. 

  • Conduct follow-ups with clients to make sure they are receiving the highest level of care. 

  • Track and monitor the status of new leads and referrals and complete associated tasks. 

  • Collect payments after appointments and follow up on outstanding invoices. 

  • Communicate with insurance companies regarding patients’ benefits and authorizations for physical therapy

  • Assist in marketing efforts to develop and execute client retention campaigns, ensuring that clients are engaged and informed of new developments.

  • A warm and calming demeanor and an affinity towards communicating comfortably with new people and making them feel welcome

  • Natural empathy and compassion 

  • Willingness to learn, explore new outlets, and responds positively to feedback

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and remain calm under pressure

  • Excellent speaking/communication skills 

  • Independent worker who isn’t afraid to ask for help when it’s needed 

  • Fantastic organizational and multi-tasking skills

  • Experience with sales and social media/marketing or willingness to learn 

  • Prioritizes personal movement practice and a healthy lifestyle (we practice what we preach!)


  • 2+ years of reception, scheduling, customer service, insurance, sales, and/or marketing experience is a plus but we will train the right person!

  • An understanding of insurance benefits and obtaining authorizations is a plus

  • An interest in our active Alaskan community and personal motivation to live a healthy and happy lifestyle. 


  • Part-Time to Full-Time position available 

  • Compensation: Up to 60K/ year- depends on employment status (full-time vs part-time) and experience
